A few things first…

Yes, the picture is from the movie. The vehicles in the book are Toyota Land Cruisers. I know. Ok, now that we are over that.

I’m one of those people that has a pile of unfinished books that grows instead of shrinks. I have made it a goal for this year to finally finish these books BEFORE buying new ones. So far, I’ve finished a few and want to add quick snippets of each.

Alright, after being a huge fan of the movie trilogy, I went back to read Jurassic Park, the (first) book. I have had this book on my shelf since like 2012 but year after year, I’d prioritize other books. However, I finally read it and am actually now reading The Lost World.

I just appreciate the cautionary tale + suspense throughout the book. Oh, and of course, the emphasis on corporate greed.

You can probably read this book in one sitting - if you don’t have kids. The characters are alright - Dr. Alan Grant is probably my favorite in the movies but found myself liking Ian more in the book. Honestly, it’s just such a good story. You might find yourself wondering if some parts (including some of the deaths) should’ve made it into the movie. Also, finding the nest… how was that left out?!
